Recent Cosmetic Faves

Hey guys! Last week I shared a little "uboxing" on my Instastories of some cosmetics I got at The Cosmetics Company. It's an outlet store that sells name-brand makeup and skincare at a discount, and my sister and I wound up getting some great deals. They were offering 40% your purchase under $100 or 50% $100+. So, we combined our purchases and got everything for half off. I wanted to share them here because a lot of the products are soooo good and I would even re-purchase them at full price!

1. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

This is my favorite purchase from the haul!! It's the BEST makeup remover.  You just take a dollop and rub it all over your face. It melts everything off so easily, even eye makeup,  yet is incredibly gentle. It doesn't feel greasy, but it also doesn't dry out your skin. All I do after using it is wash my face with my normal soap to get rid of any excess balm or makeup left behind. Get the smaller size here.

2. Clinique Turn Around Nightcream

I'm gonna admit something embarrassing - I have never had a legit night cream before! I struggle with face creams because my skin is so sensitive, so I kinda gave up and have been using Cetaphil for the past couple of years. There's nothing wrong with Cetaphil, but I definitely want something more geared towards age-defying and wrinkle prevention since I'm in my mid-20's. I gave this one a try while it was half off, and I've been really liking it so far. It's hydrating but still lightweight, which I'm happy with....although since my skin is drier I will probably try a cream that's more rich once I run out of this one.

3. Clinique 7-Day Daily Scrub Cream

Have you noticed that Megan and I are really into Clinique skincare? 🤣 This is technically a daily scrub, but I find that exfoliating every single day is too much for my skin. While it's not a harsh formula and the exfoliation beads are pretty soft, I tend to only scrub my face 1-2 times per week due to my skin type. Anyway, I love this one to keep up on regular exfoliating.

4. Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream

Unlike a lot of other eye creams that help to eliminate puffiness and circles, this one is actually a primer for under your eyes. It's designed to smooth, awaken, and prep skin prior to wearing makeup. We keep this in the fridge, and when you apply the nice, cold serum under your eyes it is SO refreshing. Honestly, I would buy this just because of how good it feels regardless of whether or not it works!

5. Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Honey Mask

I love keeping this on hand. It dries really fast (10 mins), which I love because sometimes I like to do a face mask really quickly while getting ready in the morning. It smells exactly like the name, charcoal and honey, and it really does make my skin look nice and clear. You could totally apply it with your fingers, but this silicone tool makes it much easier and allows you to "paint" your face with the solution just like the spa does...and it's only $8!

6. Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick

Lucky for us the outlet was having 60% off all Tom Ford products, which is huge because this is one of the most expensive cosmetic brands out there. I actually haven't used this foundation, but Megan LOVES it - it's her favorite makeup now, and it's the only one she wears....and she is a makeup guru!!

7. Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil Conditioner

This is fantastic conditioner - smoothing, hydrating, tames frizz.....and my favorite part? It's not too heavy on my fine hair. Usually conditioners advertised to hydrate with oils make my hair extremely greasy, but this one does not at all. I love the larger tank size because it comes with a pump!
